Accelerated Memorization

Experimenting with a memory recall theory I read about in the April 2008 edition of WIRED

I'm using it to learn Spanish vocabulary:

1. Find a new word that interests you. Use babel fish or another online translator to translate it. (Dictionaries are too slow) Add it to your vocabulary list in a spreadsheet
2. Record the date when you added the word.
3. Use these formula's to create three columns, where date is the date column where you added the word.
1st Reminder. = date + 3 days
2nd Reminder = date + 15 days
3rd Reminder = date + 30days
4th Reminder = date + 60days

4. Check your spreadsheet daily. When the day for review comes up in the reminder column, review the word to maximise recall.
