Removing Emotional Obstacles in the Past
Intense emotional events in our lives stay with us. Everyone instinctively understand this. We all know somehow that childhood fears, teenage performance or social anxieties, higher education and workplace transition, travel, injury, death of family members - these stress events or intense emotional times - we know they make a difference in our lives not only as we experience them, but for months or year afterward.
Ask around, and see what other people believe about the ability of past events to influence the way we feel about ourself right now. Most people will say that the past has a large influence on who we are and how we behave, and this influence is not always a good one.Whether you believe these memories are stored in the brain as fixed neural patterns, or in the body as emotional energy blocks, the point is that we can remove this emotional obstacles. We have to, if we want the Pure Energy of Creation to play a bigger part in our lives.
From the EFT perspective, emotions are considered be stored in the body as blockages in the bodies energy field. Whether this is provable or not, is still a matter of debate. I'm not going to go into that debate here.
From the Pure Energy of Creation perspective, any and all negative memories are emotional obstacles to experiencing your Pure Energy of Creation in the things that matter in your life. Clearly up the influence these memories have can free up surprising large amounts of focus. Focus that you can use to evoke your Pure Energy of Creation, and direct it towards taking action to achieve what you want in life.
Practice: Removing Emotional Obstacles in the Past.
1. Sit comfortably, with you eyes closed.
2. Let your mind settle for a few minutes, don't try and focus on anything, just drift.
3. Guide your attention to some period of you life.
4. Remember an event that you remember that caused you stress during that time of your life
5. Contemplate that event for a moment.
6. Create an EFT-Pure Energy of Creation prompt based on that event. Use the following structure, customize it as you wish. "Even thought I felt___emotional obstacle of the stress event_____, I am committed to experiencing my Pure Energy of Creation right now."
7. While tapping on the karate chop point, say your prompt out loud or internally three times.
7. Continue tapping through the other EFT tapping points, verbalizing or experiencing any thoughts or emotions that surface.
8. Do a mental check on the intensity of the memory. Repeat as required, until you feel differently about the event, or feel a sense of relief, relaxation or calm.
Practice this sequence on many events, and experiment with the following variations.
The question is: What do you believe about these events now? Did things in your past influence you know in a way that you control, or do they control you? Do you believe that the emotions that you experienced when the event happened are still stored in your brain or energy field? If they are, to what extent are you able to change them?

- Pick similar events at different periods of you life. For instance, if you are working on 'stress from missing appointments', try and identify the earliest time you experienced this stress. If it is easier, work backwards through time
- Pick a time of you life where in general there was a lot of stress. Then pick all the different stress events that occurred at that time
- If you keep a diary, use it to look for stress events that you may have forgotten about, but that you wrote about at the time. Put your attention on the event that you wrote about, and work through the stress that made you write about it your diary.
