Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (or EFT for short)  is a powerful technique for releasing emotional obstacles. I didn't invent EFT. Google it and you will probably find out who did.

EFT involves tapping on energy points in the body to free up emotional blockages that somehow have been stored in the body. Even EFT practitioners are not clear how this exactly works, however the accepted idea is that it has to do with the ancient Chinese systsem of energy meridians. You don't need to understand any EFT theory or history to use it. You don't even have to believe it works, although like most things in life, the power of belief is actually really important to success!

EFT is interest to us because
it is so effective at removing
emotion obstacles to
experiencing your
Pure Energy of Creation.

The fact is, most people that practice EFT report that the results are faster and more effective than many other techniques of therapy or self development that they have used. My wife, who is a professional, full-time coach with ten years of coaching executives and managers, and training others to be coaches, is using it more and more, both herself, and with her clients.

So, what do I mean that EFT is a powerful technique for removing emotional obstacles? Right, now, for instance, you may well be experiencing the emotional obstacle called skepticism about the technique called EFT. Or, you are feeling the emotional obstacle called excitement or adrenalin because you are learning about something interesting and possibly that you could use. With EFT, you could quickly change what your level of skepticism, to give this technique a clear, more unbiased chance of working for you. Because skepticism is really an emotional obstacle that stops you just being in action. It's a form of procrastination about using new knowledge to improve your ability to take action.

A lot of developmental pyschology gets so wound up in the drama of past emotions that people forget that the whole point of self development is to achieve things that you want in life.  Do you want to sit self indulgently on your therapist's couch for hours reliving you past experiences for $125 and hour, or do you want to set yourself on fire with desire to achieve your goals? I know which one I would choose.

Initially, I was also very sceptical of EFT.
People look kind of nerdy doing it.
And it appears to be just too simple
to be really effective.

However, over the last twenty years, I've investigated dozens of techniques and invested tens of thousands of dollars learning a raft of different techniques for exploring and changing my emotions, beliefs and energy. So when I first started using EFT, I knew very precisely what to look for in terms of results. Through the work I've done, I'm very tuned into the my own emotions, and can determine very fast if a new technique is actually having a result that will cause lasting change in my energy levels or beliefs.

I very quickly realized that EFT
really was the most simple,
effective and powerful technique
for removing emotional obstacles
that I had ever come across.

EFT used well by itself can be effective. But like other techniques, if used in an unfocused way,  can also be misused and take people on a meandering path through a laundry list of past emotional dsyfunction. in their lives. This can be very frustrating and directionless.
